EUA Quality Assurance Department (hereafter referred as Department) is an independent structural subdivision of the EUA, the aim of which is to:
- contribute to the continuous improvement and development of internal quality assurance processes at the EUA by refining existing mechanisms and toolkit
- contribute to the compliance of EUA activities with national and European standards for quality assurance in higher education.
EUA Quality Assurance Department performs the following functions:
- Coordinating: formation of stakeholders and working groups in the internal quality assurance processes and coordination of the latter’s work, organization of internal quality assurance processes.
- Methodological: development of projects, regulatory, procedural, conceptual documents and methodological manuals related to the education quality assurance at the EUA.
- Analytical: analysis of the effectiveness of the intra-university quality assurance system, analysis of the best models of quality assurance introduced in Armenian and other European higher education institutions and evaluation of possibilities of implementing the results.
- Advisory: providing advice on quality assurance to structural units;
- Informational: ensuring accountability to the EUA internal and external stakeholders on the results of quality assurance processes by providing transparent, accessible, objective information; preparation of reports, analyzes and other similar documents based on the results of university studies;
- Cooperative: exchange of experience in the field of quality assurance with other Armenian and European universities.
- Supportive: promoting cooperation between the HEI and its internal and external stakeholders; organizing and conducting trainings for academic staff and responsible for quality.
